Miss Ale is a Mexican teacher who received her bachelor’s degree in education at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at the UNAM in Mexico City. She’s worked extensively with children ages 3-12, planning, executing, and evaluating lessons, and, in addition, she has collaboratively written a manual about strategies and techniques for teaching Spanish in middle (secondary) school. When not teaching, Miss Ale often bicycles around Mexico City with her son.
Miss Andrea is from Mexico City, and she studied Industrial Engineering at the Universidad Panamericana. She has been working as an industrial engineer for 14 years. She currently teaches privately and was trained by STEM for Kids in Mexico in both Engineering Design Process (EDP) teaching methodology and Invention Education (IvE) teaching methodology. Miss Andrea has worked with children of different ages and is a dedicated and very empathetic person. She adapts to the different stages of child development and has the ability to explain theoretical content in a simple way.
Miss Beatriz is a native Spanish speaking teacher with extensive teaching experience. She went to college for art and fashion, but she is also a trained Montessori 3 to 6 teacher with an ESL teaching background. Miss Beatriz has taught English in different schools in Mexico, and she lived in New York City for a couple years where she taught Spanish to children ages 1 to 6. Miss Beatriz believes that every child is unique, special and capable of discovering their love for learning. She currently lives in Mexico City with her lovely dog. Her favorite things to do when she’s not teaching are drawing, sewing and designing, going on long walks with her dog, running in nature, and listening to music.
Miss Becca is a native Vermonter, currently living in sunny California! She attended Middlebury College where she studied Theatre and Spanish and trained in theatre performance at the Eolia Academy of Dramatic Art in Barcelona. Becca has been working in theatre and film and with kids for many years. Most recently, she has performed with The Rorschach theatre company in D.C. and off-broadway at Atlantic Stage 2 with the Potomac Theatre Project. Becca is also a nanny and teacher. In her free time, Becca loves to dance, play her cello, rollerskate, and camp off the Pacific Coast Highway.
Miss Catherine is an American teacher who has a master’s degree in education and a second master’s degree in ethics. She has been teaching online, in classrooms, and in NGO or United Nations meeting rooms for sixteen years. Miss Catherine loves to innovate, writing new curriculum and testing it out is one of her favorite tasks—especially when combined with technology. She has taught children from age 2-18 and adults up to age 93, and she loves teaching pretty much everything from math to grammar, writing, and science. When Miss Catherine isn’t teaching, she can be found bicycling with her daughter, leading LARP adventure quests, doing math, hiking, camping, or painting.
Miss Clare has been plays the ukulele, dobro (which is a really twangy guitar that looks like it has a hubcap built into it), harmonica, spoons, kazoo, fiddlesticks, egg shaker, washboard necktie, and anything else she can find to create a melody or a rhythm. She leads sing-along jam sessions called Shenanigans and teaches ukulele and harmonica to anyone with an adventurous spirit and song in their heart. She’s based in the U.S. Her ukulele, harmonica, and kazoo almost always come with her when she’s out hiking, bicycling, and generally gallivanting. Miss Clare also writes songs and her cat gives her a nice, slow blink she likes the way they sound.
Miss Emma is a British EFL teacher with over 15 years of experience. A lifelong linguist with a bachelor’s in French and a master’s in Marketing with a specialization in Tourism and Hospitality, she is currently completing the specialization module of Cambridge English’s Delta, with a focus on Business English. She is an experienced Speaking Examiner for many international English certifications, particularly those from Cambridge Assessment English (Pre-A1 Starters to C1 Advanced) and a deep knowledge of IELTS and strategies and techniques to help candidates to achieve the best results possible with their existing level of English. When not teaching you will find her re-enacting zombie-hunter games with a variety of household items, immersed in fantasy literature, drawing, or trying to convince her fingers to find the right notes on the fretboard.
Miss Erin is a Canadian artist and educator with a decade of experience in Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms, including phonics programs and concept based learning practices. Although she now resides in Toronto, Canada, her years teaching in Mexico City offered Miss Erin the experience to speak in both English and Spanish, and the flexibility and attentiveness to connect through many modes of communication. With a bachelor's degree from Emily Carr University, Miss Erin loves to incorporate art and hands-on learning in her classes for kids. When not teaching, Miss Erin can be found creating art, whether it be through photography, stop motion, or puppets.
Mister Héctor is a physical trainer who leads physical education classes in Spanish. He studied exercise science with a specialization in physical conditioning and physical therapy at the YMCA University of Mexico. Since then, he has spent the last nine years as a personal physical trainer, and he prepares his classes based on body type, objectives, and physical condition. He currently works with children, youth, and adults both online and in person. Héctor is passionate about sports, and he's also creative, patient, and very organized. Outside of class, Mister Héctor can be found working out or playing with his dogs.
Miss Kim is a Trinidadian teacher with over a decade of experience, having taught students all over the world, even as far as Japan. She has taught everyone from kindergarten students to corporate business clients. She is CELTA certified and is familiar with IELTS, TOEFL, and other international exams that students may need assistance preparing for. As a speaker of four languages herself, she understands what it's like to be a language learner and understands students’ perspectives. When she isn’t teaching, she’s either in her kitchen cooking up yummy recipes or busy watching her favorite Sci-fi series. She is very interested in science, history, geography and cookery.
Miss Lauren, born in Pennsylvania, USA, has spent her adult life devoted to international education. Ranging from teaching kindergarten in Thailand, working in Costa Rican educational non-profits, managing school programs and developing curriculum, teaching ESL to refugees around the world, directing teenage study abroad programs, to now working as a teacher in Mexico City--Lauren believes in learning through play, comfortability, hands on experiences, and personalized activities. Miss Lauren loves to learn from her students, and to develop safe spaces for the magic of learning to happen! She has taught swimming, lifeguarding, art, painting, and mural classes in addition to English, and she believes in community service work, and development. When she’s not teaching, Miss Lauren can be found on a walk in the park, having meals with friends, or swimming at the beach!
Miss Pan Yone is a British teacher, with a Master's in Elementary Education. She has 14 years of international teaching experience, focused mainly on students between 2-11 years old. Miss Pan Yone is currently pursuing her Masters in Family Counseling. During her free time, Pan Yone enjoys needlework, arts and crafts, reading, and traveling.
Miss Robin is a mental health practitioner and educator. She has taught online for three years and in the classroom for five, and she is TEFL certified. Miss Robin has a bachelor's degree in psychology where she specialized in advanced applied psychological testing (psychometry), treatment and managing mental health disorders and cognitive (intellectual) impairment. When Miss Robin is not teaching or facilitating therapeutic interventions she is busy writing, doing mental health activism as well as doing her Masters in Child and Family Studies at the Community Health Sciences Faculty at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa.
Miss Teneisha is an American teacher who is working on her PhD in psychology at Abertay University in Scotland. She is TEFL and TESOL certified and has taught English skills to students from around the world for twenty years. Miss Teneisha specializes in conversational English, accent reduction, reading comprehension, adult English classes focused on job interview preparation, and business English.
Miss Veronica is a Mexican teacher who received her bachelor’s degree in management at ITAM (Instituto Tecnológico is Autónomo de México); she also completed six semesters of applied mathematics at the same university, which gave her the certification to teach math at every level. In addition, Miss Vero also has her teachers diploma as well as her TKT diploma. She’s worked for more than 30 years with children and teenagers teaching math. Miss Vero teaches in both English and Spanish with ease. When not teaching, Miss Vero likes to play tennis, as she was once Mexico’s National DoublesChampion, and now, tennis is her hobby.
