One in five children has learning struggles — challenges like poor reading comprehension, inability to focus, memory deficits, letter reversal, and more. And when learning is hard, school becomes a battle. For many parents, this struggle can seem hopeless.
This program works for students with a diagnosed learning struggle including the following:
We start by pinpointing the root of the learning problem and intentionally address it. Our focus is on tackling the root of the problem head on, not just giving you and your student tips and tricks to get around the struggle. Through a unique combination of learning therapy, customized curriculum, and academic support, your child can do more than survive school — they can thrive and rediscover their love of learning.
This option includes a full year of tailored curriculum that is customized to your child’s strengths, needs, and learning style.
Because every student is different, the timing and results vary from student to student. With a commitment to a daily schedule including the therapy, students will typically begin to see a rise in confidence and improvements in daily interactions within 6 to 8 weeks. As with everything, students will get out of the program what they put into it. Over the course of 9 months, if your student is faithfully completing his or her daily therapy, you can expect to see gains in both auditory and visual processing and memory as well as improvement in reading and spelling. Our goal is to bring your child to his or her learning potential.
This option includes nine months of individualized learning disability therapy from the Essential Learning Institute.
Your student will have access to our online digital library (via tablet, iPad, or web interface) with more than 6,000 books for reading 30 minutes daily.
In addition, your student will be automatically enrolled in two live classes: ethics and social-emotional learning. Ethics will meet in live virtual classes twice a week, and social-emotional learning will meet once a week. Neither class has homework.
Your student will also have access to our online digital library (via tablet, iPad, or web interface) with more than 6,000 books for reading 30 minutes daily.
Your program begins with a complete assessment of your child’s learning efficiency and foundational language and sequencing skills. If that assessment does not indicate a need for the program, we will let you know and work with you to find the right virtual program for your child. The assessment fee is non-refundable; however, there is no charge to make a package change.
We work with a wide variety of students and learning disabilities. Some of our students have received a diagnosis of a learning disability and are on the Autism spectrum, struggle with ADD/ADHD, and/or have an IEP or 504. However, we also work with students who do not have a diagnosis but struggle with memory, focus, concentration, reading, writing, and the general learning process.
